One door closes....

So there it is.....the story about how I was caught cheating by my husband and the aftermath. But there is one small loose end that needs wrapping up doesn't it? Whatever happened to my 'bits on the side'?

Well... nothing. They are still there. I have somehow inexplicitly ended up with an open marriage. I was more than willing to give up my guys, to wipe the slate clean and start afresh. But my husband pointed out the unlikeliness of me remaining faithful, ad infinitum. He pointed out that it seem to be something I need and want and my infidelity wasn't just only a by-product of our marriage difficulties. Besides, he said, 'Its just so very you'.

So, as one door closes, another one opens....

I know I could and perhaps should add a lot more to this post about how I feel about this and indeed what shape this new open marriage of ours is going to take but I think for now this is enough. I am sure all of the details will emerge over time as I keep blogging....Yup, I'm not going anywhere and neither is my blog! Although, I am left with the dilemma of do I change my blog name and layout or not......argh!!

Good luck with the Open Marriage, I hope it works out.

Why change the name of the blog? I'm sure your activities will be a still be a "secret" from some people.

I'm glad your only dilemma is the blog title! And I'm glad you're continuing to write. I get to continue enjoying your writing.

Gosh, it amazes me how your husband can open his heart to you like that. The love he has for you; the acceptance of who you are is beyond comprehension. Good luck with everything and I can't wait to read more!

Wow, you must have one very understanding husband to not only forgive your affair but move on to accepting an open marriage. I wish you the best of luck!

You married more of a man, then you will ever know... And I congratulate you for choosing to be honest about the bit on the side... As far as changing your blog title, I would lean toward a change, sense he knows all about the your tidbits on the side...

It sounds like you have found yourself an incredible husband :-)

I vote for a slight name change...

I wonder if your marriage will survive. Everyone else commenting thinks this is great. I however keep rereading your post and wondering why your husband didn't demand some commitment from you. It's almost as if he'd given up on the marriage. Did you ask him if he's planning to have a mistress on the side? Sure sounds like he's planning to do so. At that point, does your marriage really work? I'm not in a position to answer any of these questions--just to ask them. Good luck with it--I think you're going to need it and then some.

So glad it seems to be working for both of you. Your husband must be very mature emotionally and quite open-minded - you are a very lucky woman! No offense to the guys but I don't think many of them are quite as understanding as he is.

How about adding a 'not so' in front of the blog name.

Glad to hear that things worked out and that you will continue blogging. As for the title..keep it. But I do like Cate's suggestion about adding the "not so" in front. =)

I think anonymous asks a valid question, but for now, we all wish you the best of luck and hope that you continue to arouse us with your blog-worthy experiences....

Of course the one negative comment you get is from someone who wont event put a screen name to a post.

But allow me to toss in my two bits. Some of us men are just attracted to women who are not afraid to spread their legs for other men..We find those women very sexy and the kind of woman we want and need.....I think and suspect that your husband has known for a long time but was sitting back enjoying it....now that it is out in the open he really likes it...of course he may think he is going to get strange puss as a result of this but my guess is you will be the only one getting anything strange.....enjoy while it lasts

Im kind of confused. You had a story a while back about you, your husband and "the bit" having a threesome. I was thinking it was a fantasy story, but in the comments you said it was a true story. So wouldn't the idea of you fooling around be not so surprising to him?
Obviously there's more to your story than you've revealed so far, but what kind of made me sad is the fact that one of the reasons he's ok with this is because he thinks it unlikely that you could remain faithful.

Congrats but becareful about the "other shoe" dropping...hubby could have something up his sleave, or in is pants (so to speak).
Keep the name but add the not..

Wow! This sounds like the best possible ending. Or at least a really good ending, considering what could have happened. I'm happy for you.

Brilliantly set up series of posts, by the way. You had me riveted.

Well, pace dbenied, I'd hope that hubby is planning on reaping the benefits of the openness as well...

So I can't imagine that there's worry about another shoe dropping, per mystic writer...

I mean, isn't that the point of being open?

Your hubby certainly is an understanding soul and you a one lucky lady. Does this mean that he too wants to go and play?
Nothing wrong with your blog title or layout

Some might read my comments as being negative. I think not. I certainly am not trying to be mean. You've got a lot of work ahead of you, and I'm not sure you can really see all of the path. I simply raised some questions. Hopefully, they're helpful. If not, sorry.
